This 9 month study focuses on different theological topics throughout the year.
We are currently studying the theological and practical elements of Unlocking the Text: Practical aKeys to Bible Understanding October 7, 2026 – May 19, 2027.
This Theology class time is very interactive, questions and participation from those in attendance is expected. This is a time set aside for our church (and their friends) to be able to ask the hard questions which pertain to living the Christian life in the midst of a hostile culture. The topics which are discussed certainly are richer in content, but the hope is that each person will walk away with a fuller understanding and a deeper love for Christ and His Word.

The Young Adult Ministries at Sheridan Drive Baptist Church are a part of the equipping and edifying ministries of making disciples of Christ. There are opportunities for this kind of growth through a small group, monthly fellowship nights, retreats, college ministries, and 1-1 discipleship. These ministries are mainly for young professionals and college students 17-30 years old.
We exist to exalt Christ through studying His Word, encouraging young adults to maturity in faith, and reaching the community with the hope of the Gospel. If you are in school, working, or otherwise and are in the greater Muskegon area, we would love to have you join us!
The Young Adult small group meets weekly on Sunday morning at SDBC. Fellowship begins at 10:00 AM. There is a time of Bible study, prayer, and fellowship, and food!
Colossians 1:28 – Him we proclaim, warning everyone and teaching everyone with all wisdom, that we may present everyone mature in Christ.
Please also note the unique times of fellowship on Friday nights planned throughout the year. There will be food, sometimes a bonfire, teaching, and opportunities for testimonies and hearing about God’s purposes for our lives!
Retreats: Annually or semi-annually, we participate in retreats to get away and learn and grow in Christ together in this special time…
